Product Details & Geometry

Roman Aero R XXV

The Roman Aero R XXV is our dedicated aero road bike.

Created for riders who live for fast group rides, criteriums, road races and big efforts on rolling terrain.

Designed by the same performance team behind trainSharp coaching, the Aero R takes everything we’ve learned from testing and racing and turns it into a frame that’s aggressively fast, stable at speed and still ride-able on real British roads, not just smooth test tracks.

If you want a premium carbon race bike that doesn’t look like everyone else’s, this is your Roman.

Who the Aero R suits best
The Aero R XXV is a great fit if you:
 • Spend most of your time on fast road rides, criteriums or road races
• Want a bike that rewards you every time you put power down
• Prefer a racier, lower position compared to an endurance bike
• Like the idea of riding an independent UK performance brand rather than another mainstream logo

It’s the Roman to choose when outright speed and sharp handling sit at the top of your wish list.

Fast where it actually matters
The Aero R XXV frame is shaped for real-world aero gains:
• Aero tube profiles and a slimmed-down frontal area to help you hold speed on flat and rolling terrain
• A front end that feels planted and confident when you’re diving into corners or descending fast
• A rear triangle tuned for direct power transfer, so sprints and surges feel instant rather than vague

It’s designed to make you faster wherever you actually ride – club 10 routes, chain gangs, race circuits and hilly road courses.

Construction, carbon & details
The Aero R XXV isn’t just a pretty carbon shell – it’s built to be a proper race tool:
• High-quality carbon layup – tuned for stiffness at the head tube and bottom bracket, with just enough give in the stays and seat tube to take the sting out of rough tarmac. It feels lively when you stamp on the pedals, not harsh or dead.
• Pressfit BB86 bottom bracket shell – a wide interface for efficient power transfer, using a common standard that’s well-supported for modern crank options.
• Full internal routing – cables and hoses are completely hidden through the frame, fork and one-piece bar/stem for clean aerodynamics and a purposeful, modern look.
• Generous tyre clearance – a maximum tested clearance of 700x32c, so you can run modern wide-internal rims with 28–32mm tyres for speed and comfort on real roads.
• Integrated finishing kit – colour-coded carbon fork, one-piece bar/stem and seatpost are all included with the frameset, keeping the look cohesive and performance-focused.
• Durable, premium paint finish – a deep, understated Tarmac Black scheme that looks stealthy in the shade and sharp under sunlight, designed to stay looking good through racing, travel and everyday miles.

The result is a race-ready aero bike that’s fast, clean and future-proofed for modern wheel and tyre setups.

Geometry that balances race and reality
On paper the Aero R is a race bike; on the road it’s built to be agile without feeling twitchy:
• Stack and reach numbers that put you in a low, fast position – but still let you ride hard for hours
• Stable, predictable handling so you feel confident on fast descents and through technical corners
• Sizes that work for a wide range of riders, from smaller racers through to taller, powerful riders

It’s the kind of bike you can happily race all season and still enjoy on your quickest training rides.

“I’ve ridden a lot of bikes over the years from big-name brands to custom builds but the Roman Aero has genuinely surprised me. The first thing that stands out is how balanced it feels. It’s aero and fast when you’re on the gas, but still smooth enough to hold speed over rough roads or longer efforts. The front end feels planted really confidence-inspiring on descents and when you sprint, there’s no hesitation. You can feel every watt going straight into forward motion. Paired with the Laminar wheels, it’s properly rapid. The whole setup feels like it’s been designed by people who understand racers not just engineers or marketers. After a few weeks of racing and training on it, I can honestly say it’s a bike I’d happily race all season. It’s quick, comfortable, and looks incredible in the black finish. Roman have nailed it.” Ollie Peckover UK Road & Time Trial Winner | Roman Bikes Ambassador

Chris Opie Roman Superlight Review “I’ve ridden a lot of bikes in my time from pro team setups to the latest test bikes in the industry and the Roman Superlight instantly felt like a proper race bike. I only had an hour on it, but that was enough to know it’s the real deal. The response when you accelerate is sharp, and the handling feels dialled in straight away light, fast, and composed. You can tell it’s been built with racers in mind. It’s the kind of bike that makes you want to push harder the moment you get on it.” Chris Opie Ex-Professional Cyclist | Former GCN Presenter | Muc-Off
